I am interested in science because it enables us to be able to understand and describe the natural world. I got involved with REU because I would like to go to graduate school and wanted to get some research experience.  I believe that this will greatly strengthen my application. I got more out of it than I thought. I learned tons.  I learned dissection and fish anatomy, clearing-and-staining, and histological techniques.  I also worked with people that made the experience even greater. My future plans are to apply for graduate school or look for work as a wildlife biologist.
